The pragmatics of creative processes

About The Book

Pragmatics studies the aims of communication by revealing the speaker's intentions indirectly through the statements made. It focuses on a study of the processes by which we understand what is implied. It is related to the procedure used by director and illustrator Hayao Miyazaki to create visual narratives taken from the making of his animated film entitled: Chihiro's Journey (2001) by Ghibli Studios. Inspired by the knowledge he acquires in the social sphere in folk tales in the interactions between individuals he goes on to shape his narratives.
