The Prep

De La Salle Prep stood for over forty years in Churchtown and educated more than 8000 boys. Following a directive from Archbishop John Charles McQuaid the De La Salle Brothers created an educational facility in the area that is still educating young members of the community to this day. A history of the Whitehall Townland is recorded and is followed by a complete history of the Preparatory School that has been researched meticulously using every available resource and memory from those who both worked there and were educated there.The author finishes with a nostalgic look back at his own time there.
