The presence of heterocycles in dyes

Heterocyclic chemistry is an integral part of organic chemistry. Heterocyclic compounds are widespread in nature and essential to life. Acridine and benzanthrone are used as starting materials and synthesis intermediates in the manufacture of dyes.Dyes are complex organic compounds which may contain heterocycles that play an important role in color. However these dyes can be toxic and polluting if misused or improperly disposed of.it is therefore important to adopt preventive measures to minimize the chemical risks associated with dyes. Future research is needed to develop safer environmentally-friendly colorants.
