The preservation of cultural identity from the point of view of geography

The formation of geographical culture becomes a social necessity for the integral formation of future generations and has a special relationship with cultural identity which is of great importance at the present time due to the socio-cultural urgencies that are imposed on education. In this sense the research responds to the insufficiencies in the pedagogical work with the geographic identity elements of the socio-cultural context and has as objective the elaboration of a pedagogical strategy sustained in a model of formation of the geographic culture that favors the preservation of the cultural identity of the students of the degree in Geography Education as part of the process of geographic education.
