Richard Hakluyt (1552?-1616) was an indefatigable editor and translator of geographical accounts. His most famous work was first published in 1589 and expanded in 1598-1600: this reissue is of the twelve-volume edition of 1903-5. Volume 2 contains accounts of voyages to Prussia and the Hanseatic towns.
