About The Book
Description
Author
The Professor Charlotte Bronts debut work was first released in 1857. It centres on William Crimsworth a young guy who relocates to Brussels and accepts a position as a teacher at an all-girls school. Once there he starts to fall in love with the headmistress but an overheard discussion about marriage dashes his hopes. Instead he develops feelings for a young teacher he is mentoring but understandably this causes issues. English writer and poet Charlotte Bront (1816–31 March 1855) was the oldest of the three famous literary sisters. She also wrote poetry. Her works like those of her sisters have become English literature classics that readers of all ages may still read and appreciate today. These kinds of old books are becoming harder to find and more expensive. With this in mind we are reissuing this classic book in a cost-effective contemporary version of the highest calibre complete with essays by Virginia Woolf and a biography of the author by G. K. Chesterton.
