These editions have a glossy cover cream paper interior wide margins generous white space and good spacing between lines of text.</p><p><strong>ABOUT THE BOOK AND AUTHOR</strong></p><p>The Professor was the first novel written by Charlotte Brontë (1816–1855). It was rejected by many publishers but was later published posthumously in 1857 under her pen name Currer Bell.</p><p>The novel is written in a first person narrative and tells the story of a young man named William Crimsworth from his point of view. It covers his formative years his appointment and career as a teacher at an all-girl's school in Brussels and his personal relationships.
