Borders are manufactured by humans to indicate truce lines that can potentially divide or unite adjacent communities and states. Different disciplines and a large range of geographic and cultural contexts are explored to address the complex and multi-faceted nature of environmental conflict resolution. Communities in conflict face many challenges but peace parks and the dynamic linkages among ecosystems that create the biosphere offer solutions by providing a shared space for such communities to find common ground for trade cooperation and peace.
