The public nature of education in the context of public-private partnerships

Cassio Vale and Patrícia Oliveira are scholars in the field of education especially educational policies in the state of Pará Brazil. The authors' experience with the issue of the public-private relationship in education was strengthened after their course in the Postgraduate Programme in Education at the Federal University of Pará (PPGED/UFPA) where they had the opportunity in this book to expand on a debate started at the 5th Ibero-American Congress on Education Policy and Administration.
