The Room in the Dragon Volant: The protagonist Richard Beckett encounters a mysterious woman and becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue and danger during his stay at an inn in France. Carmilla: Considered a seminal work of vampire fiction Carmilla tells the story of a young woman named Laura and her encounters with the seductive and vampiric Carmilla Karnstein.
