About The Book

As the boy walked through the desert he knew one thing: he wanted water. And he could see it on the horizon waiting for him. He walked towards it but the water stayed out of reach. The boy realized it was a mirage and that disappointed him. But there seemed no other way – keep walking towards anything shimmering and maybe one day it will actually be water. One day though he saw a signpost saying This way to water likely planted by someone who passed that way before him. He decided to follow the sign. It led to more signs; and they led him to water! And so it is with happiness. We know one thing: we want happiness. So we seek things like popularity education a job a house a car money and so many other things -- we think they will lead to happiness. But they turn out to be a mirage. They are interesting and have their place in life but they do not lead to happiness. Fortunately many great people found happiness and left signposts for us. One such path to happiness is Karma Yoga outlined in Vedanta. This book explores Karma Yoga and how we can live it easily in our day-to-day lives. Presented in a fun approachable way and illustrated wonderfully we hope it helps young people – and the grownups in their lives – along their Pursuit of Happiness!
