Set in the 1800s in rural Newfoundland when the safety of workers and the hardships they faced were low on the list of priorities for most employers. Dominion Limestone is no different.</p><p>Added to the physical perils Jake a new employee becomes the victim of blackmail making any happiness he'd hoped to find in the small village a seemingly insurmountable challenge.</p><p>Motivated by greed and personal profit Gallo the mining captain at the quarry has a finely tuned talent for self-preservation leaving his employees at the mercy of his dubious leadership.</p><p>When a fatal accident is the result of Gallo's mismanagement the community must come together to keep one another safe.</p><p><strong><em>The Quarry</em></strong> is a tale of faith family and the seemingly insurmountable challenges of daily life not least of which is the bigotry that saw many families hide their indigenous roots.</p>
