<p>Featuring chapters written by scholars within their own disciplines as well as carefully curated selections from key religious texts <em>The Quest of World Religions: An Introduction and Anthology</em> provides readers with an illuminating overview of global faith systems. The text also urges readers to approach this study as seekers those engaging their own selves in a quest for authentic spirituality and truth.</p><p><br></p><p>In the introductory chapter volume editor John A. Studebaker describes world religions as having a common theme found in the Latin <em>religio</em> (reconnection). Each religion seeks to reconnect their devotee to God the gods or the supernatural. The editor also provides helpful practices for respecting others while fostering a quest for truth.</p><p><br></p><p>The text features four units which survey Western Eastern tribal and secular religions. Studebaker Ph.D. </strong>is a professor at LEMA Seminary and the executive director of the BMI Oasis a hosted place of rest for professional ministers. Dr. Studebaker's teaching expertise includes systematic and practical theology religion worldviews and apologetics.</p><p> </p><p><strong>David Cashin </strong>is a professor of intercultural studies at Columbia International University. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from Stockholm University an M.A. from Dhaka University and a B.A from Gordon University. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Chris Gnanakan </strong>is a professor of theology and global studies at Liberty University. He holds a D.D. from Trinity Baptist College a Ph.D. from the University of Leeds a D.Min. and M.Th. from the South Asia Institute of Advanced Christian Studies and an M.Div. from the Asia Graduate School of Theology.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Joshua Bowman</strong> is a Christian scholar and teacher with experience in higher education publishing development leadership politics and research. He is the part-time director of operation at All Saints Anglican Church and vice president of the Ciceronian Society. </p><p> </p>
