About The Book

One of the aims of this study was to define a valid cutting pattern for Austria and our climate region which can be used primarily on roadside verges and shoulders. Various cutting patterns were therefore tested and their effects on the plants and the seeds they produced were examined. A second experiment was carried out to determine the approximate limit at which seed maturation can still be prevented. To this end germination tests were carried out on the seed material collected and the non-germinated seeds were tested for vitality using a TTC test.
