The Reckoning

<p><strong>Hell is empty. And all the Devils are here.</strong></p><p>After the Riqueval Canal inferno Durant's company splinters. Shielded by British cavalrymen they escape into the night and falling snow while the Red Maiden's legion of dead men give chase. They run south toward St. Quentin and the promise of a barge waiting in the river that might carry them to Verdun's fortress.
