The Red Fox Family

The Red Fox Family takes you on a journey in Colorado at the den of the red fox from the time just before the kits emerge to explore the world to the time they move to another den. You will see and feel - their struggles for food - their fear of potential predators - the triumph of the hunt - the vixens protection of the kits - the behavior of the kits as they learn survival skills. Colorado author and photographer Lois Lake spent many hours at the den observing and photographing the red fox to give you this authentic look at the real-life behavior of the red fox family.
