The Red Sphere

<p>The red sphere has existed for as long as humanity can remember. A device of unknown origin its power brings peace and joy to the world. Without it all hope for humankind would be lost. </p><p>Beginning with an Ice Age ancestor of modern humans the sphere is gifted to protectors-those who are young sharp-witted and who think outside the box. The sphere passes from ancient China to Medieval Europe and Viking Scandinavia; from Renaissance Italy to a wagon train in the Wild West-and even into the hands of a famous present-day rapper. Fighting against a diverse cast of protectors who work to prepare each other across generations are the Nonbreathers. These ferocious descendants of an outcast tribe want nothing but blood and conquest.</p><p>When the final battle begins will centuries of preparation be enough to save the world from final darkness?</p>
