The Redeemer : A Book of English Poetry

About The Book

This book as the title “The Redeemer” suggests is about personal accountability before God and own self. It breaks the domination of ascriptive values and emphasizes the idea of achievement. Many societies and nations have seen decline when they gave primacy to ascriptive status rather than achievements of hard working people. Each person is his/her own redeemer is the message of the book. The book also emphasizes on the need to love our country and be open to new ideas and shun cultural vanity. It also raises the issue of women’s rights as still women are victims of patriarchy and outdated narratives. The Glass ceiling and even cliff remains and even today it is a struggle for women at home and outside also. In the poem “The Magic of Innocence” the poet says the most precious or priceless thing is Innocence which should be cherished and preserved.
