The Remittance Man

George Shipman came from a respectable middle class family. However he found his life unfulfilling and wanted to travel and explore new things. Circumstances had spoiled his chances of a higher education although he had the intelligence to go further than he did. Whenever opportunities arose instead of remaining in his lifes certainties and comforts he took the chances that opened to him. The doors of life for him led from working on Oil-Rigs to Africa . He found his way spending three years in a totally new world much more than he could have imagined. From one side of the Country to another in the then Southern Rhodesia he experienced responsibility sights and deeds now dwindling to extinction in this modern world.
