<p>Max Passberger is a successful art entrepreneur who navigates a roster of artists wealthy clients and a museum director pining for his gorgeous lesbian secretary; personalities that can be anything from quirky strange to demanding. He does his wheeling dealing with aplomb while maintaining a high-maintenance relationship with Jessica Castle a best-selling author. However one night he meets a waitress who steals his heart and he drops the author...changing the dynamic of their lives. Along with his new girlfriend Kerry O'Garrell he continues to rein in new clients including a reclusive Texas artist who creates art out of tree branches and sells them for a shitload of money. As time passes Max and Kerry observe escalating right-wing political demands with a dim view and question if living in the United States is the best option for both of them.  </p>
