This work is a contribution to the perennial problem of the proven ineffectiveness of the judicial response to the issue of sexual violence perpetrated in armed conflicts. It is based on the observation that in order to be effective this response must be part of a dual perspective that federates both the judicial response and the customary response in order to better suit the African context.
