The book re-navigates my journey to becoming an artist from the village of Southern Nigeria to the slums of the then capital city of Nigeria-Lagos through to the Soviet Union and to the independent Kazakhstan where I eventually had my very first personal exhibition as an artist in 1996-seeing this as the return to myself-the artist.Ever since I was a kid the thing I have enjoyed doing most is drawing however choosing Fine art as a profession in the society I grew up was not considered dignifying hence the long the journey.
