The Right to a Name

About The Book

The book tries to make parents and the State aware of the importance of choosing the name of their children in relation firstly to their gender and secondly to the dignity they are entitled to. Likewise the State through appropriate legal provisions must delimit the functions of the civil registrar or the one who performs his or her functions in the registration of names that go against gender and dignity. This book is the result of research carried out by the author on various identity documents such as: birth certificates ID cards driver''s licenses and others where names have been found that are ridiculous offensive and others that do not reflect gender which undoubtedly make the person who carries them feel uneasy or is forced to change them.
