When Gila was growing up her life was predictable and success was quantifiable. From kindergarten through college there was a clear path toward success. Then when grad school took her from classwork to fieldwork life began to get more complicated and she discovered that the real world does not offer the structure and support that her academic training provided. As Gila begins her journey into adulthood in her twenties new questions and challenges arise: What lies ahead? What happened to all that positive feedback she received as a kid? How can she learn to trust her intuition? Is she in control of her destiny? In The Roadmap Ends Here Gila presents a personal narrative of the lessons she learned along the way: that life takes work that things often don’t go as planned that there’s always more to learn and that there’s a silver lining in the realization that even though she cannot fully predict where life is taking her she is on the right path.
