The Role of Grace In the Thought of Alexander Campbell

Despite his strong emphasis and personal dependence upon the grace of God as manifested in Jesus Christ Alexander Campbells views stood in marked contrast to those of the Reformed tradition especially as manifested in the revivals of the second Great Awakening in America. A study of his views on this subject has relevance in the present context. William J. Richardson spent forty-one years teaching in college and seminary. He holds the degrees of Bachelor of Theology Northwest Christian College; the Bachelor of Divinity and Masters of Arts Butler University and the Doctor of Philosophy the University of Oregon. Dr. Richardson is retired and living in Turner Oregon.
