The Role of Helping in a Broken World

<p>Dr. Samson Chama obtained his graduate degrees from the University of Georgia in Athens (UGA) and Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond (VCU). He has over 20 years of practice experience that involved collaboration with several multinational organizations including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) the World Bank United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) World Health Organization (WHO) International Labor Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). He is currently a full professor of social work at Alabama A&M University where he continues to engage in active research in several areas of interest. Some of his research projects include exploring the impact of HIV/AIDS on young people's social health and economic well-being the criminal justice system and its impact on minority college students social justice and human rights international education and study abroad. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed books articles and book chapters. He is also actively involved with several local and international non-profit organizations. </p>
