The Role of Parents in Teaching Their Adolescent Children Sex Education

Sex education is a broad term used to describe education about human sexuality and other aspects of human sexual behavior. Nevertheless our forefathers were not able to give specific facts on anatomy etc because of the limited knowledge. They were mainly focused on the benefits and consequence of it. Nowadays the common avenues for sex education are parents or caregivers school programs and public health campaigns. Sex education in Tanzania is focusing on stemming the growing HIV/AIDS epidemic. Many religions teach that sexual behavior outside marriage is immoral so their adherents feel that morality should be taught as part of sex education.
