This publication presents the findings of the role of small scale irrigation practices in livelihoods enhancement in Abine Germama irrigation scheme adjoining Batu town Ethiopia. By using DFID livelihood framework this research examined and presented irrigators’ access to livelihood capitals such as Natural Physical Financial Social and Human capital for their livelihood enhancement. Besides this research identified the major constraints which were encountered by irrigators in the use of the small-scale irrigation practices determinants of livelihood enhancement and assessed the availability and contribution of financial service organizations for irrigators’ livelihood enhancement in Abine Garmama rural kebeleadjoining Batu town Ethiopia.
