The role of the teacher and the student in virtual learning environments

With the insertion of ICT the teacher has new challenges because although it is true that there are different ways to bring knowledge to students the teacher to achieve it must master this new environment in order to be the content facilitator in the construction of students'' knowledge allowing them to develop skills where the student goes from passive learner to active in their educational and social performance. Technologies in education and especially in the subject of mathematics motivate students to perform searches discover new concepts previously unknown to them and improve the skills of interaction and communication between students and teacher.
