The Roommate Dilemma

<p>Vanessa Stevens is driving her car along a beautiful country road when she has to swerve and is nearly in a crash. Fortunately the chipmunk crossing the road who caused the near-crash is unharmed. Unfortunately the driver of the other vehicle involved has no sense of humor at all. Plus he reminds Vanessa of a dark angel. Not that she's had any experience with dark angels but this man could be the poster child for them. When Vanessa soon needs to vacate her apartment and find a new place to live her bestie comes through offering a promising possibility and after viewing the house Vanessa is happy her living arrangements have been settled. Until she meets her new landlord.</p><p>Kane Duncan needs a lodger for the spare room in his house and he needs one ASAP since his friend is moving out and he's happy when his buddy arranges for a friend of a friend to move in the same day he's moving out so Kane is sure his life will continue to run along as smoothly as it has been. Due to circumstances beyond his control he is unable to meet the new lodger until after she moves into his home and when he sees it's the chipmunk woman herself he knows this is never going to work.</p>
