The Sacred Island

<p>In the spring of 1822 Conall-a spirited and able-bodied 23-year-old from the mist-laced village of Glengarriff-casts off from its quiet harbor chasing the promise of adventure and a new beginning across the Atlantic. His path leads him to the bustling docks of Liverpool where he secures work as a carpenter aboard a Swallowtail Line vessel bound for America.</p><p>But fate intervenes. A brutal storm tears through the ship mid-voyage splintering wood and hope alike. Conall survives the wreck clinging to debris as the sea swallows the rest. Days later he washes ashore on an island shrouded in fog and silence. He awakens in a secluded cove the mouth of a cave yawning nearby-and a lone figure watching from its shadowed edge.</p><p>This is no rescue. It is the beginning of something far stranger.</p>
