<p>When a biological weapon accident destroys Vic Riga's hometown and along with it her entire family the United States is put on lockdown by the rest of the world. Disabled and queer Vic had been glad to escape the claustrophobia and racism of the Florida fishing village where generations of her family had fished smuggled run drugs and lived strangely long lives but now she has become the last of her people.
