The Science of Ethnobotany: Traditional Knowledge of Conservation Culture and Healing aims to explore the profound interconnection between human societies and plant life emphasizing the significance of traditional knowledge in contemporary conservation efforts cultural preservation and healthcare advancements. This book is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of ethnobotany encompassing both traditional wisdom and modern scientific approaches. It is designed to serve as a resource for students researchers environmentalists policymakers and anyone interested in the role of plants in human culture and well-being. The book delves into how traditional communities have developed sustainable ways of utilizing plant resources how sacred groves and indigenous conservation practices contribute to biodiversity preservation and how traditional medicine has influenced modern drug discovery. One of the key aspects of ethnobotany is its cultural dimension—how plants are not just sources of food and medicine but also bear deep spiritual religious and social significance. Various civilizations have revered plants integrating them into religious rituals healing practices and folklore. By documenting these traditions we not only preserve ancient wisdom but also highlight its relevance in addressing present-day challenges including climate change habitat destruction and the loss of biodiversity.Dr. Ravindra Goswami Ph.D. in Botany is a distinguished academician and researcher with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and education.
