In 1930s Berlin a teenage German boy falls in love with a teenage Jewish girl. Despite everything the world is about to throw at them they are determined they will stay together. But what if fate also determines that he will become a guard in the extermination camp that she will be sent to? It is 1999 in the heart of England.
