The Shadows Return

<p>Staff Sergeant Alexandra Foster has returned from her deployment in Kabul Afghanistan but the memories of her time there still haunt her. A year later she's tried to push aside the horrors she endured yet the nightmares persist. On the nights when she wakes up screaming Liam is there to comfort her helping her cope with the trauma of facing the infamous Shadow and his men. Though she completed her mission and defeated them her mind remains at war with the lingering darkness. Just as Alex starts to feel grounded and regain her sense of normalcy a high-ranking official arrives with a new dangerous assignment. The mission takes her back to the same region she barely escaped from unscathed. This time the threat is different: Sayid father of the Shadow knows who killed his son and is out for revenge. Now Alex must decide whether to engage in a deadly cat-and-mouse game with one of the most dangerous men in the country or risk falling into the hands of her enemies.</p>
