The Silence of Words and Light

<p>When I first saw one of Ashley Unbehagen’s images of nature I was deeply moved. She doesn’t just take a picture of something—she enters whatever she photographs and brings you into its radiance. In time we began to produce one of Ashley’s photos with a few words of byline by me and sent them out as monthly reflections for my nonprofit Red Bird Foundation. Now five years later it’s been a natural progression to collaborate on this collection of words and light our joint offering of simple things to awaken the inner heart.</p>
