The Silent Years

Have you ever thought of what happened in the four hundred years between Malachi in the Old Testament and Matthew in the New Testament? It seems as if God was silent during those years until John the Baptist was raised up announcing the arrival of the Messiahs first coming. But even though God did not speak with Scriptures during those years there He was working and preparing the way for the arrival of Immanuel.
