The Simplicity of Spirituality

<p><span style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>One of the illusions today is that the things of God are complex tedious or complicated. From our thinking this might seem justified because humans cannot fathom God. However we see from </span><strong style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>2 Corinthians 11:3 NKJV</strong><span style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)> that this is far from the truth. According to scripture God who made us (</span><strong style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>Genesis 1:27</strong><span style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>) wants us to be close to Him. When Adam fell God went to great lengths to restore humanity to Himself. This cost Him Jesus who died for us (</span><strong style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>John 3:16</strong><span style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>).</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>If God can do all this to reach us why will He make it difficult to get closer to Him? In </span><strong style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>James 4:8</strong><span style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)> the Bible affirms that if we come close to God He will come close to us. This means that if we come close to Him as He has outlined in His Word that is through Jesus He will come closer and dwell with us (</span><strong style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>Revelations 3:20</strong><span style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>). In fact anytime we encounter anything that seems complicated tedious or challenging there is a chance that the hand of God is not in it. In these cases we should invite God in. Advancing to a phase of significant growth in God from salvation is a simple journey with the help of the Holy Spirit. The gift of the Holy Spirit called the word of wisdom is God's attempt to simplify complicated things. From the account of the Bible every time humans expressed that the things of God were hard God went above and beyond to make it very easy (</span><strong style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>Judges 6-8</strong><span style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>). For example to become a child of God only requires a simple prayer. In the same way to grow in God only requires simple steps. God is not out to get us so He can judge us; He is out to get us to have a closer relationship with Him.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style=color: rgba(14 16 26 1)>With the help of the Holy Spirit this book provides light and insight from God.
