The Slaves of Immanuel Kant

<p><strong><em>Did you know that the first colleges of America were all Christian colleges that prepared their students not only for this life but for the eternal life to come? Sadly these schools today are effectively atheistic.</em></strong></p><p class=ql-align-center><br></p><p class=ql-align-justify>How did this change happen and was it justified? As this book explains it was largely due to the onslaught of naturalism-based science during the 1800s <em>as energized</em> by the critical philosophy of Immanuel Kant. Science pressured the schools but the addition of Kant's super-subjectivism turned science into a religion that could not live at peace with Christianity. </p><p class=ql-align-justify><br></p><p class=ql-align-justify>In <em>The Slaves of Immanuel Kant</em> Dr. Engleman first serves up a brief history of philosophy leading to the Enlightenment and Kant's <em>Critique of Pure Reason</em>. Highlighting the Christian characteristic of three sample early colleges-Harvard Yale and Princeton-Engleman reveals how the Kant-energized religion of science aggressively drove the old faith out of the schools in the late 1800s. The result has been a disaster both temporally and eternally.
