The socialization of Afghan women in Germany

In this study nine women of Afghan origin were interviewed and their socialization and learning and education processes were examined. After scientific analysis four types were identified. The focus is on prominent topics such as homeland loss the role of women family culture values identity self-image education freedom peace expectations disappointment hope coping with everyday life integration and equality. This research is framed by an overview of the historical and sociocultural background in Afghanistan the empirical results and their pedagogical applications for the development of learning and educational processes and suggestions for educational institutions and publishers.
