The socioreligious and diplomatic mediation of Shaykhouna Shaykh Saadbuh Shârif 1848-1917

This book is the result of a communication delivered to the Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar. It traces the leading role of Shaykhuna Shaykh Saadbuh Shârif in the formation and dissemination of knowledge among the elites and the African masses but also his leadership in the face of the colonial authorities for the preservation of the Islamic ideal and social peace. It also allows us to revisit part of his literary and scientific work. We also wanted to include a section of the life of Imam Sari al Saqhati one of the links in the Silsila of the Qâdiriyya.
