<p>From the rise of Herod (ca. 44 BCE) to the destruction of Jerusalem (70 CE) The Son Cometh is an exegetical systematic and historical study chronicling several religious and political strands central to the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. As an exposition of the Christian faith this work not only apologetically and evangelistically endeavors to provide the reader with the historical context and approximate timeline for the writing of the New Testament canon (e.g. the Synoptic Gospels John Acts Revelation and other apostolic epistles) but also a background to the Law and Prophets as foreshadows and types leading up to the fullness of time including extensive references and citations of other Jewish Roman and Christian primary sources (e.g. Philo Josephus and Eusebius).</p>
