When Charlotte marries another man who is more appropriate for her class Werther a young artist who is more motivated by emotion than by logic is already smitten with the enigmatic Charlotte. A torturous reminder of everything he''s lost Werther befriends Charlotte''s husband in an effort to keep Charlotte close. Then out of genuine compassion Charlotte can only think of one method to assist Werther in breaking away from his terrible passion but he has a different escape strategy.
