He was involved with the rising tide and fortunes of the Pony Express silver mining and the riches of Virginia City's Comstock Lode. By 1869 he would move his business enterprises to San Diego California becoming one her pioneer founders andcivic leaders. As a man he was devoted to family lived a dream and left a legacy for many generations to come.
