The Souvenir

Johnny and Royce are twins from Hatteras. Johnny attends Berkley and is involved in the Vietnam war protests. He meets a friend John Ellis. Royce is killed in Vietnam as well as the brother of John Ellis. His friend becomes a draft dodger and heads for Canada. The President is assassinated during this same period and the fired shell casing is removed from the scene as a souvenir. Johnny in the meantime has become a successful attorney. The assassination of the president remains unsolved for thirty years when modern policy technology leads the FBI to arrest John Ellis for the crime. He retains his old friend Johnny to represent him. Did John Ellis do it? Was he framed? The souvenir will tell the tale.
