<p><strong>This is a Russian translated edition.</strong></p><p></p><p>The circumstances that have arisen today require a new study and exposition of the doctrines of God's omnipotence God's sufficiency and God's sovereignty. From every church pulpit in the country there must thunder the preaching that God is still alive that He still observes what is happening and that He still reigns. Faith is now passing through the crucible of fiery trials and there is no safe place of rest for the heart and mind except at the throne of God. Now more than ever we need a full positive and constructive disclosure of the teaching that God is God.</p><p></p><p>From the book <em>The Sovereignty of God</em></p><p></p><p>Arthur Pink (1886-1952) was born in Nottingham England and was born again by the Spirit of God at the age of 22. He studied at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and then served as a pastor in independent churches in Colorado California Kentucky and South Carolina. For several years he taught in Sydney Australia and then returned to his homeland of England in 1934. From 1940 until his death he lived permanently in Scotland on the Isle of Lewis in the town of Stornoway. He published a monthly collection of his articles <em>Studies in the Scriptures</em> from 1922 to 1953. In his works Pink devoted primary attention to the great themes of Scripture: grace justification and sanctification.</p>
