About the Contributor(s): Michael A. Buratovich is Professor of Biochemistry at Spring Arbor University. He earned his bachelors and masters degrees from UC Davis and his PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology from UC Irvine. Dr. Buratovich also worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Sussex University and the University of Pennsylvania. He runs the blog Beyond the Dish and is also a licensed lay preacher with the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
