The Story Book Drink Book

<p>I often think of myself as a proud person. Sometimes your pride gets in the way but most of the time it is the way! Well I am proud to say that I am a boozer. Yes that's right I said boozer. Not a drunk or an alcoholic but a boozer. Do you enjoy a beverage of choice? I know I do that's for sure.This is a series of stories of how I came up with the names of drinks that are based on friends. Some came about when I was ... well boozing. Some of them came to life when I was cooking. We like to have a cocktail while cooking. Cooking and booze have been going together for a long time sometimes in the meal and sometimes in the cook. Ha! Either way it's always better. The bartending profession has been in my life for too many years. It's been very good to me and has let me experience many things in life so I decided to put together this drink book.Oh by the way I am Dewey Henry. Truly my pleasure to meet you. I guess you actually get to meet me. I hope the pleasure is the same for you as it is for me. I really don't know what we just said but you are going to find out how I talk as you read. Many have said that the way I talk is known as Deweyism.</p><p><br></p><p>I finished this book on July 2 2019 which would have been my mom's eightieth birthday so it's dedicated to her. You know without our parents we wouldn't be able to accomplish many things. First off we wouldn't even be here. Ha! Oddly enough my father was the storyteller of the family not my mom even though he was sort of quiet. I became a storyteller. Mom just told things as they happened. That's what I do. Honestly that's how I became who I am like mom was when she was raising us. It's weird 'cause she was actually telling the truth about things as she saw them happen.</p><p><br></p><p>Oh her birthday. She used to say that her birthday was halfway to the end of the year. Most people would argue No it's not; its July 1st. Well if you count the days you'll see she was right depending on leap year. OMG! Actually she is telling a story. I get this from her so thanks Mom. Miss you.</p>
