The Story of Maya is as the name suggests the story of a young woman Maya and her struggle with a major mental health condition called Schizophrenia. The book is an attempt at highlighting the practical challenges faced by individuals who deal with mental health issues on a daily basis and the challenges faced by their family members who support them as caregivers. It also aims to convey that even people with mental health issues can lead successful lives provided they get the right support from doctors family members and society in general.
