Born in the mountains of Kentucky Homer Williams enjoyed the first nine years of his life in simple but satisfying surroundings on a farm. He experienced many adventures during these early years and shares them with vivid recall including the story of the first toy he ever received and his education at a one-room schoolhouse. At the age of nine he and his family moved to West Virginia and encountered a wealth of modern conveniences.<p> A sense of kinship was instilled in him early by his mother so family has always been important to him. His great-grandfathers were both active in the Civil War. One fought for the North; the other fought for the South. Williams was born the tenth of eleven children.<p> Williams shares insightful accounts of turning points in his life and the lessons he's learned throughout the years. He's lived a fulfilled life sprinkled with a host of valuable experiences a tour with the United States Air force thirty eight years in education of which twenty two were high school principal. Williams imparts a lifetime of stories and memories for all to enjoy in The Story of My Life.
